Reliability estimation problems of complex systems |

In the traditional consideration of reliability of a product is usually used a model that assumes that hardware failures of elements, i.e. violation of their operability, are not happen immediately after manufacturing of equipment and they are arise over time as a result of degradation of elements. However, in the case of complex systems, the composition of which, as a rule, includes hardware and software, then output products control ended with positive results, there may be no fault identified hardware elements and software errors. The article deals with possible approaches to the assessment of reliability of complex systems based on taking into account hidden failures and building a stochastic simulation of failures of such systems. Increasing the probability of no-failure operation of the product for the required period of time is connected not only with the choose of a reliable element base, equipment operation modes, the degree of redundancy, but also with a number of organizational measures, the importance of which is particularly high in the case of complex products with increased reliability. Resolved stochastic simulation can become an instrument contributing to the targeted selection of these measures.
