Development of optoelectronic refractometric device for monitoring the composition of aqueous solutions of glycols |

The basic constructive and technical-operational characteristics of optoelectronic refractometric device for monitoring the composition of aqueous solutions of ethylene glycols and propylene glycols that are installed directly into a process stream of de-icing treatment of aircraft are considered. The description of the optical scheme of collection and processing of measurement data is given. General customization features and laboratory testing of the device: the calibration on the scale of mass concentration and temperature, test for resistance to the total pressure of the external environment, corrosion resistance of structural materials used and the chemical resistance of the seals (gaskets) are presented. The results of the pre-production testing Refractometer at the airport of Vladivostok and “Domodedovo” (Moscow) are given. Based on these data substantiates additional requirements for refractometric device for the control of anti-icing treatment of aircraft, which can serve as a prototype for industrial design.
