MARTYNOV The facet structure of eyes of insects provides wide field of view, but low spatial resolution. Efforts of the scientific many countries around the world create technical analogs of the facet eye, allowing to realize advantages of facet sight and thus to provide high spatial resolution. Scopes of such systems are very various – from military investigation before video games. In article the principles of construction created and being in a stage of development of facet electro-optical systems, their application and development prospects are considered: microlens, monomatrix and multimatrix facet systems. In microlens systems the facet structure are realized on the basis of the microlenses matrixes interfaced to detectors by optical fibers. In monomatrix systems the facet structure is formed by a lens with a focal plane detector arrays. In multimatrix systems the intermediate optical image which is exposed to spatial sampling by means of facet system is formed. For creation of systems with ultrahigh resolution the most perspective represent multimatrix facet systems.
