Describes the creation of a control system for rotary kiln cement clinker burning, as a possible approach to automate the process of
firing. Due to the complexity of the object, an approach using fuzzy logic. To reduce the rule base and to facilitate its preparation
is proposed to estimate the furnace into zones according to the classical partition. This simplifies the construction of the partition
rulebase, while maintaining the relationship between the processes occurring across the length of the kiln. A model was developed
fuzzy control unit, which consists of four blocks of the assessment of the furnace. Described behavioral strategies for each of
the four fuzzy controllers. Since each wave is unique in its characteristics, a method is proposed to adapt the parameters of the
membership functions using a neural network, which allows easy transfer from one system to another furnace.
